Old Shoe's Belguim-Style Blocks

These black cherry blocks are designed to be long life workhorses in your hot shop. My first set were put into service two years ago and with daily use (and lots of students) are still in service today. The handles are kiln dried and the heads are green stock, when kept wet the joint is well-secured. The red oak or ash handles are wider in cross section providing you with more leverage during shaping and they can easily be notched to suit your personal grip. You do need to soak 'em for two weeks prior to initial use and an occasional rub with a green scrubbing pad helps keep 'em real smooth. Custom profiles can be make to your specs on request.

D & D Footing Tool

Made with black cherry and heavy doe skin to keep yer fingers from crispin'. A quick gather, roll on the marver or paddle at the chair - pat to a post. Then a long roll while squeezin'- on to final shaping with your jacks…bonk off…yer done. (At this point Ed would say "practice, practice, practice"). You need to soak 'em for two weeks prior to initial use and keep 'em wet thereafter. Available in graphite faced HD model as well.

Loopin' Tweezers

The length helps ya keep your fingers back from the heat when you're doing the top loop on ornaments #1 thru six gazillion. Made of cold rolled zincro metals with black walnut brass set scales provides ya with a light action and positive grip.
